I've stopped being surprised when I found out in high school that there was Archie slash. Now I'm more surprised when I don't find fic for something.

Guy can be spelled "Gai" or "Guy," though there are die-hard purists going both ways. It was apparently first translated in the U.S. as "Maito Gai," going straight from the katakana to romaji, but Kishimoto had intended for it be "Might Guy," going for the more obvious English pun (kind of like how "Rokku Rii" is "Rock Lee"). This information's available in one of the info books, and I know that the new English translations in the U.S. include the "Guy" spelling, but I've noticed most people on lj aren't aware/don't care/use both spellings, though in some forums they get upset at people who use "Gai." Personally, I think you should use whichever you like best and are most comfortable with. /info-dump
